We often felt like we were riding across a carpet of flowers, stretching as far
as the eye could see. At one picnic stop ShiKeTa and Tserung made flower garlands for Freda
and Edie which they wore proudly for the rest of the day.
The photos below might give some impression of the nature and variety of flowers
we came across.
Wild strawberries, exotic-looking mosses and vivid blue irises could be found in
the damper, shaded (forested) areas.
