Praying Mantis

The Praying Mantis has a rather unsettling habit of watching your every move when you try to take his photograph - like he's eying you up for his next meal! Actually, this insect only eats other, usually smaller, insects, though there is documented evidence for small birds (hummingbirds, for example) falling prey as well. It must be true - I read it on the Internet! We see Praying Mantises quite a lot - they often hang out on our windows - outside thankfully.
