A new feature and we need YOU!

We are launching a new regular feature called "A Day In The Life Of....." and we are seeking contributions from both China and abroad. Our students have virtually no access to current, meaningful and accurate information about real lives and other cultures abroad other than that portrayed by Hollywood movies.

As well as being a source of information, authentic communication and an incentive for students to improve their reading and writing skills, Sunflower is also used in the classroom to generate discussion, writing and to help develop student creativity. The more interesting and useful we can make it, the greater the benefits for the students.

What topics are we looking for?

As our students are training to be teachers we are hoping to launch the feature with A Day In The Life Of A Teacher - either a nursery, primary or secondary teacher, or a lecturer in further or higher education. In fact, if you have any job relating to education we would love to hear from you.

As well as the lives of teachers, we would like to hear from anyone who is willing to share their daily life with us.

Where will your article be published?

Your article will be published in Sunflower both in Simao (hard copies) and on the web. Sunflower is circulated around the College to teachers and students. Some copies are also circulated around China, to other volunteers and to VSO in Beijing.

We will also send you a copy of Sunflower for the month in which your article appears.
